Many visitors recognized my new last name and instantly connected me to the English family of Aldine. I find this association exciting because most of the subject matter I paint is derived from scenes of Aldine. I feel that the transition into using my new last name as an artist will be easy and beneficial in identifying myself as a local painter (My new family is VERY large and well known in Salem County).
